Mixers, loaders, applicators, flaggers and other handlers must wear: long sleeved shirt and long pants, shoes plus socks, and chemical-resistant gloves made of barrier laminate, butyl rubber ≥14 mils, nitrile rubber ≥14 mils, or viton ≥14 mils (except for pilots). Additional PPE requirements for mixers and loaders supporting aerial application to rangelands, pasture lands or non-cropland. These mixer/loaders also must wear: a chemical-resistant apron, and a minimum of a NIOSH-approved particulate filtering facepiece respirator with any N1, R, or P filter; OR a NIOSH-approved powered air-purifying respirator with a HE filter.
