Personal Protection
Mixers, loaders, applicators, flaggers, and other handlers must wear: Coveralls over short-sleeved shirt and short pants, Chemical-resistant gloves, Chemical-resistant footwear plus socks, Chemical-resistant headgear for overhead exposure, Chemical-resistant apron when cleaning equipment, mixing, or loading, and Protective eyewear. Additional PPE requirement for mixers and loaders supporting aerial application to rangelands, pasture lands, or non-cropland. These mixers/loaders also must wear: A chemical-resistant apron, and A NIOSH approved particulate filter with any N, R, P filter with NIOSH approval number prefix TC-84A; or a NIOSH-approved powered air purifying respirator with an HE filter with NIOSH approval number prefix TC-21C. It is recommended that you require that respirator wearer be fit tested, and trained in the use, maintenance, and limitations of the respirator.
