- Mixers, loaders, applicators, flaggers and other handlers must wear: Long-sleeved shirt and long pants, Chemical-resistant gloves such as barrier laminate, nitrile rubber >14 mils, neoprene rubber >14 mils or viton > 14 mils. These mixers/ loaders also must wear: A chemical-resistant apron, and A NIOSH-approved particulate respirator with any N, R or P filter with NIOSH approval number prefix TC-84A; or a NIOSH approved powered air purifying respirator with HE filter with NIOSH approval number prefix TC-21C. It is recommended that the respirator wearer be fit tested, and trained in the use, maintenance, and limitations of the respirator.
