All mixers, loaders, applicators, flaggers and other handlers must wear: • Long-sleeved shirt and long pants, • Shoes plus socks, • Chemical-resistant apron for cleaning equipment, mixing and loading, • Chemical-resistant gloves (such as barrier laminate or viton) when cleaning equipment, mixing, or loading any hand-held equipment. Additional PPE requirements for mixers and loaders supporting aerial application to rangeland, pastures lands and non-crop land. These mixers/loaders must also wear: • Chemical-resistant apron, and • NIOSH-approved particulate filtering respirator equipped with N, R, or P class filter media. The respirator should have a NIOSH approval number prefix TC-84A. It is recommended that you require the respirator wearer be fit tested, and trained in the use maintenance, and limitations of the respirator.
