COMMERCIAL TURF - FOR CRABGRASS, GOOSEGRASS AND CROWFOOTGRASS

General Information

GENERAL INFORMATION

Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G is a selective, pre-emergent herbicide for control of annual grasses and many broadleaf weeds in commercial turf and on a wide variety of woody ornamental shrubs, vines, and trees. Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G controls weeds by killing the young weed seedlings as they come in contact with the herbicide during germination.

For best results, water-in the product as soon as practical after application.

10-10-10 fertilizer with secondary micronutrients is the carrier for the herbicide. Nutrients will be supplied according to the rates applied, but they are inert to the herbicide and its activity.

- DO NOT apply more than 300 lbs. Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G per acre per year (equivalent to 6 lbs. a.i./A/year) except in areas where there is heavy weed infestation. In areas of heavy weed infestation, the maximum application rate is 400 lbs. Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G per acre per year (equivalent to 8 lbs. a.i./A/year).

- DO NOT apply more than 200 lbs. Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G per acre (equivalent to 4 lbs. a.i./A) in a single application.

Limitations, Restrictions, and Exceptions

COMMERCIAL TURF

For use in established perennial Bluegrass, Bermudagrass, perennial Ryegrass, St. Augustinegrass, Tall Fescue, and Zoysia turf; such as fairways, parks, golf courses, and lawns.

Apply to dry foliage only with a properly calibrated granular applicator at recommended rate in early spring before weed seed germination. If rain is not expected shortly after application, irrigation to remove herbicide granules from foliage will increase effectiveness.

For Crabgrass, Goosegrass and Crowfoot control, apply 100-200 pounds Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G per acre (2 to 4 pounds active ingredient) or 2 1/4 to 4 1/2 pounds per 1000 sq. ft. Late applications are not recommended and may not be fully effective.

For St. Augustinegrass turf, DO NOT exceed the rate of 150 pounds/acre (3 pounds active ingredient) of Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G.

Discoloration of Bermudagrass and St. Augustinegrass may result from use of this herbicide, but this discoloration is temporary and normally outgrown within 2 to 3 weeks.

Red Fescue and Bentgrass are susceptible to Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G and may be severely damaged. Avoid use of this product on turf containing Red Fescue or Bentgrass except where they are undesirable grasses. DO NOT apply to newly seeded areas. Seeding into treated areas should be delayed until 4 months after treatment. DO NOT apply to Dichondra or Centipedegrass. Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G should not be used on putting greens or tees because of varying cultural practices used.
