Limitations, Restrictions, and Exceptions

ORNAMENTAL AND HERB APPLICATIONS

(For use to incorporate soil into potting media in containerized plantings of ornamental trees, bushes, shrubs, plants, conifers, flowers, Christmas trees, and non-bearing fruit and nut trees.)

APPLICATION FOR HERBS

For use to incorporate soil into potting media in containerized plantings of the herbs listed below (Minimum preshipment interval is 70 days):

Instructions for Incorporating Into Potting Media

Measure the dry weight of a unit volume of the mix to determine the bulk density of the potting media. Determine the length of control desired and completely mix the correct amount of the Bifenthrin Nursery .2 G with equipment that will provide consistent distribution in the potting media. A pre-mix of Bifenthrin Nursery .2 G with the proper amount of sand (1:10) may be made to achieve sufficient distribution of the product mixture.

Refer to the label for suggested treatment rates given to determine the length of control necessary for certification and the Potting Media Bulk Density. (Comments: Based on the known bulk density, blend the proper amount of Bifenthrin Nursery .2 G in one cubic yard of potting media.)

Restricted Entry Interval

12 hours

Exception: if the product is soil-injected or soil incorporated, the Worker Protection Standard, under certain circumstances, allows workers to enter the treated area if there will be no contact with anything that has been treated.
