SURFIX is an emulsifiable, nonionic, spreader-sticker adjuvant. SURFIX is designed to improve the application efficiency of pesticides by modifying the contact, wetting and adhesion of the pesticide onto the plant surfaces and can be used with a broad range of pesticides and nutrients. SURFIX can positively affect pesticide spray application and pesticide efficacy. Optimum application and effects, however, can be influenced by the crop, pest, spray equipment, spray volume, pressure, droplet size, spray mixture and environmental factors. Consequently, it is recommended that careful observations of the spray deposit be made and adjuvant concentrations be adjusted accordingly. Under most conditions, apply spray containing SURFIX at least one hour, during daylight, before an anticipated rain. Rinse tank, lines and nozzles immediately after spraying, with water. After rinsing, there may still be a small amount of sticky residue in the tank. This will help to prevent rusting and corrosion. It will not clog nozzles when spray is next used. If spray happens to land onto undesired surfaces, such as windows, cars, application equipment or others, it can be removed with soap and water before the spray deposit is dry, with premium grade or white kerosene after film has dried or set. To remove dried deposits from painted car surfaces, use standard tar remover products designed for use on painted car finishes.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
FOR USE WITH PRODUCTS REGISTERED FOR: AGRICULTURAL, FORESTRY, INDUSTRIAL, MUNICIPAL, NON-CROPLAND, ORNAMENTAL, RIGHTS-OF-WAY, TURF AND OTHER USES.
The addition of an adjuvant to some pesticides or pesticide tank-mix combinations may cause phytotoxicity to the foliage and/or fruit of susceptible crops. Prior to the addition of SURFIX to spray tank-mixes and/or prior to the application of SURFIX with a pesticide and/or fertilizer where a spreader/sticker adjuvant is not specifically recommended but not prohibited by the products' label, the user or application advisor must have experience with the combination under similar environmental and crop cultural conditions and/or have conducted a phytotoxicity trial under similar environmental and crop cultural conditions.
SURFIX may be applied by ground or air spray equipment. In most applications, use enough SURFIX to allow for uniform wetting and deposition of the spray onto leaf surfaces without undue runoff.
AIR: For maximum effect use 4-6 oz. per acre. For general application rates use 1-2 pts per 100 gallons of spray solution.
NOTE: The above use recommendations are considered to be adequate for most uses. Some pesticides, however, may require higher or lower rates for optimum effect. Follow the pesticide label directions when this occurs.
