NON-IONIC WETTER/SPREADER SURFACTANT - COTTON PICKERS

General Information

GENERAL INFORMATION

Spret incorporates the properties of a nonionic wetter/spreader surfactant when used in pesticidal spray mixtures. Spret is designed to quickly wet and spread a more uniform spray deposit over leaf and stem surfaces. Spret can positively affect pesticide spray application and pesticide efficacy. Spret is recommended for use with those pesticides whose label recommends a wetter/spreader type adjuvant or a nonionic surfactant.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

The addition of an adjuvant to some pesticides or pesticide tank-mix combinations may cause phytotoxicity to the foliage and/or fruit of susceptible crops. Prior to the addition of Spret to spray mixes, the user or application advisor must have experience with the combination or must have conducted a phytotoxicity trial or must take the recommendations from the labels of the products to be tank-mixed.

For most applications, use enough Spret to allow for uniform wetting and deposition of the spray onto leaf surfaces without undue runoff.

Limitations, Restrictions, and Exceptions

NON-IONIC WETTER/SPREADER SURFACTANT - COTTON PICKERS

Spret lowers the surface tension of water and improves the wetting and spreading action of water used in mechanical cotton pickers to wet the picking spindles.

Cotton Pickers: Use 4 oz. of Spret per 25 gallons of water in picker tank.

Note: For the above applications, add Spret to the mixing tank when it is about one half full. Continue filling and mix thoroughly to ensure uniform distribution.
