VERTIMULCHING EXISTING PALMS

Apply by standard vertical mulching technique: For an average size palm, drill 4 holes evenly spaced around the trunk, about halfway between the trunk and dripline. Remove mulch. Use a 2 to 3 inch wide auger to drill holes to a depth of 8 to 10 inches. Fill holes with soil evenly mixed with PHC Palm Saver at a rate of 6 ounces (2 scoops or 1 packet) per hole. Pack lightly. If using premixed soil as fill, mix 10 pounds of PHC Palm Saver per cubic foot of fill. Replace mulch. Apply water to soil saturation. Reapply annually as needed.
