Handlers can also use other NIOSH approved respirators for organic vapor and particulates that contain oil that offer more protection such as a full-face respirator with the same cartridges and filter, a gas mask with an organic vapor canister, or powered air purifying respirator with an organic vapor cartridge and HE filter. Protective eyewear is not required for handlers wearing a full-face respirator or a gas mask.
