Mixers, loaders, applicators and other handlers using engineering controls must wear: Long-sleeve shirt and long pants Shoes plus socks See Engineering Controls for additional requirements In addition, mixers and loaders using engineering controls must wear: Chemical-resistant gloves made of Barrier Laminate, Butyl Rubber ≥ 14 mils, Nitrile Rubber ≥ 14 mils, Neoprene Rubber ≥ 14 mils, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) ≥ 14 mils, or Viton ≥ 14 mils Chemical-resistant apron See Engineering Controls for additional requirements In addition to the PPE specified above for mixers and loaders, handlers performing tasks, such as spill clean-up or equipment cleaning, for which engineering controls are not feasible, must wear: Coveralls Chemical-resistant footwear plus socks, and Wear a minimum of a NIOSH-approved elastomeric half mask respirator with organic vapor (OV) cartridges and a combination N, R, or P filter; OR a NIOSH-approved gas mask with OV canisters; OR a NIOSH-approved powered air-purifying respirator with OV cartridges and combination HE filters.
