Mixers, loaders, cleaners of equipment or spills, and other handlers exposed to the concentrate must wear: • Coveralls over long-sleeved shirt and long pants, • Chemical-resistant gloves, such as barrier laminate > 14 mils or butyl rubber > 14 mils or nitrile rubber > 14 mils or neoprene rubber > 14 mils or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) > 14 mils or viton > 14 mils. • Chemical-resistant footwear plus socks, • Chemical-resistant apron, and • A NIOSH approved particulate filtering respirator equipped with N, R, or P class filter media. The respirator should have a NIOSH approval number prefix TC-84A. Respirator wearer should be fit tested and trained in the use, maintenance, and limitations of the respirator. Applicators using spray equipment mounted on their backs must wear: • Coveralls over long-sleeved shirt and long pants, • Chemical-resistant gloves, such as barrier laminate or butyl rubber or nitrile rubber or neoprene rubber or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or viton, and • Chemical-resistant footwear plus socks. All other applicators and all other handlers exposed to the dilute must wear: • Long-sleeved shirt and long pants, • Shoes plus socks, and • Chemical resistant gloves, such as barrier laminate or butyl rubber or nitrile rubber or neoprene rubber or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or viton.
Coveralls, shoes plus socks, and Chemical Resistant Gloves made out of any waterproof material > 14 mils.
