GENERAL INFORMATION

Fruits and vegetables will have fewer post harvest problems when treated with X- Tender as recommended.

Shipment quality, storage quality, and shelf life is governed by cell tissue breakdown. Post harvest quality can be controlled by pre- harvest applications and by treatments immediately after harvest by strengthening the cell walls

immediately under the skin.

The cell wall strength is destroyed by ethylene mediated enzymes which are most destructive during hotter temperatures.

X- Tender is designed to reduce this enzymatic action.

RECOMMENDATION FOR USE

X- Tender is designed to be used on all fruit and vegetables except those sensitive to skin damage. If skin sensitivity is unknown, try on a small area, before commercial use.

POST HARVEST TREATMENT

Hydrocooler water: Add X- Tender to hydrocooler and brush water to a concentration of 0.5% ( 1/2 gallon per 100 gallons (5 milliliters per liter) of water.

The fruit or vegetables should be in contact with the X- Tender solution for 15 minutes or more for best results.
