In reviewing the results, the grower needs to consider the wide variation in varieties, climatic factors, dosage, tree vigor, and fruit set before choosing the desired rate and correct timing for application.
Apply in sufficient water for good even coverage with your specific equipment. Application can be made in as little ask 50 gallons of water per acre, and up to 400 gallons of water per acre and is highly dependent on type of equipment used and density of the foliage. Uniform and even distribution of the spray is imperative. To Reduce Pre-Harvest Drop in D’Anjou Pears
K-Salt Fruit Fix 200 becomes effective in 3 to 4 days after application and controls drop for two (2) weeks. K-Salt Fruit Fix 200 may be applied by ground or air. For optimum results, apply 7 to 14 days before harvest. For maximum effectiveness, sprays should be applied when the temperature is 70_F or higher. The lower rate of K-Salt Fruit Fix 200 can be used under normal weather conditions. If warmer temperature conditions (i.e. 90-95ºF) are expected to occur for a period greater than 3 consecutive days following the application, then the higher rate of K-Salt Fruit Fix 200 (up to 32 fl. oz. per acre) may be used. A repeat application of K-Salt Fruit Fix 200 is recommended only if the efficacy of the first application of product is declining, such as due to high temperatures. Consult your local Extension Pomologist as to time of application and rates to be used in your area for your specific stop drop situation.
GROUND APPLICATION: For dilute spray, mix 3.6 to 4.8 fl. oz. K-Salt Fruit Fix 200 per 100 gallons of water and apply 300 to 600 gallons of the spray mixture per acre of trees. For concentrate spray, use 16 to 32 fl. oz. K-Salt Fruit Fix 200 (25 to 50 grams of active ingredient) per acre in sufficient water to ensure good coverage of trees.
AERIAL APPLICATION: Use 16 to 32 fl. oz. K-Salt Fruit Fix 200 (25 to 50 grams of active ingredient) in 5 to 10 gallons of water per acre. Aircraft should utilize spray equipment which gives thorough coverage to all portions of the trees. Apply only when weather conditions favor minimal spray drift.
1. Do not make more than two (2) applications of K-Salt Fruit Fix 200 at 16 fl. oz (25 grams a.i./A) or one (1) application of K-Salt Fruit Fix 200 at 32 fl. oz. (50 grams a.i./A) per stop drop season. Allow 7 to 14 days between applications.
2. Do not delay picking beyond optimum maturity.
3. PHI - Do not apply within two (2) days of harvest.
4. Do not apply this product through any type of irrigation system.
