Limitations, Restrictions, and Exceptions

USE BASF COOLING WATER BIOCIDE TO CONTROL THE GROWTH OF BACTERIA, FUNGI, ALGAE AND BIOFILM DEPOSITS IN COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL RECIRCULATING COOLING WATER SYSTEMS.

1. For each 1,000 gallons of cooling water, add to the tower sump between 10 and 250 grams (0.35 and 8.8 oz.) of BASF Cooling Water Biocide to achieve a residual chlorine dioxide concentration between 0.1 and 0.5 ppm. Repeat application at least weekly.

2. Sample the cooling water at the circulating pump discharge and, if the chlorine dioxide residual does not reach 0.1 ppm, increase the addition rate as needed.
