Personal Protection

Mixers, loaders, applicators, and other handlers using engineering controls must wear:  Long-sleeved shirt and long pants  Shoes plus socks  Chemical resistant gloves, such as barrier laminate, butyl or nitrile rubber  14 mils, or Viton  14 mils if mixing or loading  Chemical resistant apron if mixing or loading. Handlers performing tasks, such as cleaning equipment or spill clean-up for which engineering controls are not feasible must wear:  Coveralls over long-sleeved shirt and long pants  Chemical resistant gloves, such as barrier laminate, butyl or nitrile rubber  14 mils, or Viton  14 mils  Chemical resistant footwear plus socks  Chemical resistant apron if exposed to the concentrate  Goggles, face shield, or safety glasses  A respirator with an organic-vapor removing cartridge with a prefilter approved for pesticides (MSHA/NIOSH approval number prefix TC-23C), or a canister approved for pesticides (MSHA/NIOSH approval number prefix TC-14G), or a NIOSH-approved respirator with an organic vapor (OV) cartridge or canister with any R, or P, or HE prefilter.

Restricted Entry Interval

Exception: If the product is soil-injected or soil-incorporated, the Worker Protection Standard under certain circumstances, allows workers to enter the treated area if there will be no contact with anything that has been treated.
