Applicators and other handlers (except when using a belly grinder) must wear: Long-sleeved shirt and long pants Chemical-resistant gloves, such as barrier laminate or nitrile gloves or neoprene rubber or Viton Shoes and socks In addition to the above PPE, Applicators using a push-type spreader must wear: Chemical-resistant gloves such as barrier laminate, butyl rubber, nitrile rubber, neoprene rubber, natural rubber, polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride (PVC), or Viton In addition to the above PPE, Loaders supporting aerial applications must wear a NIOSH approved respirator with: an organic-vapor removing cartridge with a prefilter approved for pesticides (MSHA/NIOSH approval number prefix TC-23C), or a canister approved for pesticides (MSHA/NIOSH approval number prefix TC-14G), or a NIOSH approved respirator with an (OV) cartridge, or a canister with any N, R, P, or HE prefilter.
