Syngenta’s newest seed treatment, a premix of three fungicide active ingredients, recently received registration from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Vibrance Trio will be used on soybean seeds to ensure strong stands and fight disease. Vibrance Trio includes mefenoxam, fludioxonil and sedaxane active ingredients. “The higher rate of mefenoxam in Vibrance Trio offers the highest level of Phytophthora and Pythium protection available,” said Steve Gomme, Seedcare product lead in a recent press release. The new seed treatment provides protection to the following soybean diseases:
In addition, the sedexane promotes healthy and robust root systems. “Robust root systems play a big role in driving yield potential,” Gomme said. Trials conducted over three years, across 31 field environments, resulted in a higher stand count from Vibrance Trio 87% of the time compared to a check treatment, according to Syngenta. In addition, trials conducted over two years showed an increased yield of 2.2 bu. per acre with Vibrance trio compared to the industry standard in heavy disease environments.
