Personal ProtectionLoaders, applicators and other handlers using engineering controls must wear: Long sleeved shirt and long pants Shoes plus socks In addition, loaders must wear: Chemical-resistant gloves (such as those made of waterproof material) See Engineering Controls for additional requirements. IMPORTANT: All other handlers performing tasks such as spill clean up or equipment cleaning, for which engineering controls are not feasible must wear: Coveralls over long sleeved shirt and long pants Chemical resistant footwear plus socks Chemical resistant gloves Protective eyewear, A NIOSH approved dust/mist filtering respirator with a MSHA/NIOSH approval number prefix TC-21C or a NIOSH approved respirator with any N, R, P or HE filter, and Chemical resistant apron if exposed to the concentrate.
Restricted Entry Interval48 hours Each 48-hour REI is increased to 72 hours in outdoor areas where average annual rainfall is less than 25 inches a year. Exception: If the product is soil-injected or soil-incorporated, the Worker Protection Standard, under certain circumstances, allows workers to enter the treated area if there will be no contact with anything that has been treated.
